It’s all about that Sunscreen

As promised here is my full blog post sharing my Sunscreen favorites.

If there is one beauty tip you get from watching my beauty tutorials, it’s that Sunscreen always is applied whether you are wearing full-face makeup or not. If only I could go back and tell my younger self to apply the sunscreen and that I will still get a nice tan.

There are so many sunscreens out there and it can be tricky to know which one to use and why it doesn’t pair well with your favorite beauty products. Each sunscreen has different Ingredients in them. I don’t always reach for the same sunscreen, so I will do my best to share why I love these and how I pair them with my favorite makeup products.

Sunscreen that will give you a GLOW

Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 40 Can be worn under your makeup and gives you a beautiful tint and defined glow. I love to wear this under my CC foundation on days where I need a nice glow and will awaken my dull skin. I also love the GinZing eye balm for under my eyes which helps with depuffing the eyes.

Tula Protect + Glow Daily Sunscreen Gel Sunscreen SPF 30 This is my most worn sunscreen and pairs well under every foundation. I am already on my 3rd tube and have purchased so many as they make the perfect gifts. If you are looking for a dewy glow on your skin and for protection at the same time, I can’t say enough great things about TULA sunscreen. TULA just launched a bigger bottle because so many were asking for it. Also, their sunscreen protects against blue light, and since we are home and on our computer screens, blue light protection has become something I look for in my products. I can’t recommend this enough.

SuperGoop Glow Screen SPF 40 Another amazing glow sunscreen that has a tint in color to it. I have shared this many times while sitting by the pool because of the tint it looks like I have a tinted foundation on. This pairs well under a tinted foundation. It helps with protecting your skin and adding a bit more coverage under your favorite tinted foundation. I also have heard their Unseen Sunscreen pairs really well under any foundation. If you are looking for a roll-on balm, the SuperGoop Glow Stick SPF 50 is fabulous for yourself or your kids. Don’t forget your lips as they need protection too and my most used and loved by my family is the SuperGoop Lip Shield.

SuperGoop Glow Oil – I don’t know about you, but I miss the days of wearing baby oil on the skin only for the reason of having that oily glow by the pool. Well if you loved that 90’s feeling and look but want the protection, then this is going to be one of your favorites.

Luxury Sunscreen

Can we just have a moment of gratitude for Sunstyles Sunscreen? Snappyscreen has created some amazing products from their hand sanitizer to their luxury sunscreen. It is one of my absolute favorite brands of sunscreen that I love wearing while out in the sun. Sunstyles by Snappyscreen has created the world’s first touchless sunscreen application system. Hydro Boost Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 with the first ingredient as water you know that this will be extremely hydrating. It won’t clog pores and leaves the skin well hydrated and prepped for your foundation for up to 8 hours of protection. I personally love to wear this on my face or body in the hot sun.

Sheer Zinc SPF 50 has 100% zinc protection and leaves your skin with a clear finish. I was able to wear this under my makeup but loved it more for playing tennis or outdoor activities.

Ultra Sheer Face Mist I use the face mist to reapply my sunscreen throughout the day. The most important thing you can do is to reapply your sunscreen. This is a weightless spray that is also oil-free and won’t clog your pores.

Colleen Rothschild

Colleen Rothschild Triple Defense Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 It’s no surprise that Colleen Rothschild Sunscreen is highly rated in my books. Think sunscreen with skincare in it. It’s mineral sunscreen which means it’s “reef” safe and won’t clog your pores. I would recommend wearing this alone and not under foundation. It does leave a slight white cast on your face, so I would suggest starting with a little product and adding as you go. One tip is to completely let your sunscreen dry before adding any cosmetics.
